The entrance of the 1950s built Hotel Habana Riviera, along the Malecon, in Havana, Cuba, on Sunday, April 27, 2008. Sculptor Florencio Gelabert designed the white marble sculptures, at left, of an intertwined mermaid and swordfish at the front of the entrance.The hotel was built in 1956 at the height of the Cuban Revolution and it was designed so that every room has a view of the Gulf of Mexico.
